Moving? Pack Your Room and Take It with You!

What are the most underrated, but important items you have in your bedroom… or house for that matter? Think about it. What do you sleep on? What does your television sit on? Where do you put your folded clothes? Yup! You guessed it! Your bedroom furniture! Many people truly forget and underestimate the importance of their bedroom furniture. Admit it… when you think about moving, the first picture that pops in your head is a suitcase full of clothes. Right? Well, I’m going to give you a quick rundown on how you could pack your bedroom furniture.

First, just go over the inventory and see how many pieces of furniture you will be packing. This way you will know how much material is needed for your move. Once you have done this, be sure that you purchase enough packing materials for your move. These materials would include coasters to slide heavier furniture on, furniture blankets, sofa covers, protection bags, bubble wrap, foam wrap, packing tape, Styrofoam pellets, and even old blankets or clothes you can use to cover a chair or side table.

Once you have everything you need, it will be time to take apart the furniture that can be disassembled. Some of the more common pieces of furniture that can be disassembled are beds, bed frames, dressers with drawers, tables, book cases, and television stands. Breaking down these large pieces of furniture will allow your move to be easier and less bulky, and that’s something we all want.

When it comes time to load the furniture, be sure that all of the legs, glass pieces, mirrors and other fragile parts are wrapped tightly and securely to insure no damage will occur. If you use these methods, your relocation efforts will be an experience to remember… an easy experience at that. So, let’s get moving now!
