People are often looking for a new home, somewhere that will provide them with clean neighborhoods, active residents, and of course – thrilling sports. Luckily for you, this place exists and it is called Portland, Oregon. That’s right; Oregon isn’t known for being a metropolitan area swarming with the hottest nightclubs and it definitely doesn’t have relaxing beaches filled with tanned bodies, but it does offer a countless number of other amenities. What amenities you ask? Well, the exciting city boasts environmentally friendly policies, renowned coffee shops, and legendary sport franchises, such as the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers.
Let us begin with the environmental policies that place this wondrous city amongst the greenest cities in the world. The town boasts several parks that residents are able to enjoy on a daily basis; in fact, specific locations like the Tom McCall Waterfront Park and the International Rose Test Garden are some of the marquee spaces for those wanting to breathe in the magnificent Oregon air. Along with the multitude of gorgeous parks spread throughout the city’s limits, the town also implements other strategies that have helped it garner awards such as “Greenest City in America.” As a matter of fact, Popular Science ranks Portland as the “Greenest City in America” and Grist magazine named it the second greenest city in the world.
Living in a city, where residents are constantly moving and continually striving to renovate their environmental policies, means that there is probably a high demand for coffee. Did we just say – coffee? Oh yeah, Portland is famous for its premier coffee shops, and if you live in this upbeat city, you better learn the difference between lattes, frappes, cappuccinos, and the other 50 million varieties of coffee you can sip on. In fact, Yelp.com lists over 20 different coffee houses in Portland that boast a rating between 4.5 to 5 stars. If you do decide to contact local movers and make your way over to Portland, make sure you visit the famed Stumptown Coffee Roasters, one of the country’s most well-known coffee aficionados.
Portland is also famous for its iconic sports franchises, including the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers, which has been around since the 70’s. As regular attendees of the NBA Finals, residents can rest assured that they have access to premium basketball games. That being said, make your way over to the Rose Garden Arena and enjoy the breathtaking excitement of a NBA game, while your moving company smoothly handles your relocation.
