MovingCost.com - Santa Fe, NMLike in most of the country, diets are a big deal in Santa Fe, NM. If you’re determined to get off to an fresh start in the city by dropping some pounds, this MovingCost.com guide will tell you about 5 mistakes that set back your progress and threaten your health. So turn off the blender and put the protein shake on hold for a minute. This is one blog that you can’t afford not to read.

Not Eating Enough

When you’re on a diet, the goal should be to cut back on consuming fatty foods that are bad for you. However, when you decide to skip breakfast and cut out a bunch of meals all together, you will be doing your body a lot more harm than good. Put together a diet that gives you enough food to function!

Failing to Keep a Journal

If you are serious about dropping weight, a diet journal/diary is a must have. Although some of your friends may make fun of you for counting calories, you have to pay attention to the things that you eat as you monitor your progress over time. This will make your life easier.
Cheating the Diet

Once you commit to the diet, you have to do whatever it takes to stay away from fast food restaurants, unhealthy buffets and anything that will make it difficult for you to reach your fitness goals. When you convince yourself that it’s okay to take weekends off or drop the diet on special occasions, it will be hard for you to whip your body into shape by the end of the summer.

Mixing Too Many Diet Plans

Anyone who has ever tried a successful diet regimen will be quick to tell you that these things take time. If you start off on the Cabbage Soup Diet, don’t drop it after a week and order the Nutrisystem. When you combine a variety of different dieting plans, you are bound to get mixed results. Stick to the script and reevaluate whether the diet is working or not after a month or so.

Replacing Exercise with a Diet

While both diet and exercise can flourish on their own, they are undoubtedly better together. Just because you are eating the right foods, it doesn’t mean that you should stop exercising in the park or cancel your gym membership. Just make sure that you eat enough to fuel your workouts and stick to your game plan!

  1. The food journal is probably one of the most overlooked aspects of healthy eating. I’m a personal trainer, and it’s amazing how shocked some of my clients are when they start writing down the foods they eat and realize just how unhealthy their diet is.
