Whether the pizza is deep-dish, super-thin, or loaded with meats, people munch on the food religiously. If you’re a strong pizza fanatic who’s undergoing relocation soon, here are some of the top cities in the nation where this delightful dish is well-known.

Detroit, Michigan – That’s right, this isn’t a type. The city best known for it’s automobile industry also has some of the best pizza pie joints in America. Buddy’s in Detroit is a nationally-renowned spot where crunchy-crusted pizza is a specialty. While the establishment is known as more of a bar and sandwich shop, it’s also a haven for blackened-crusted, Detroit-style pizza. So if you are planning on moving to Detroit, or just coming for a quick visit, you already know what you can have for lunch.

Niki’s is another restaurant in the city of Detroit that satiates the biggest pizza appetite. This restaurant has a heavy Greek flavor. The best thing about this location is they offer the rare feta cheese as a topping. The cheese adds a unique creaminess and tanginess to the pie that you’ve never tasted. The bakers meticulously crumble the cheese on top of the pie, letting it melt onto it. You haven’t had a pizza until you’ve tried one from Niki’s.

Providence, Rhode Island – The capital city of the smallest state in the nation has satisfied some of the biggest pizza appetites. Bob and Timmy’s is the main pizza joint of choice. It may not look like much when you walk in, but in this case, you can’t judge a pizza restaurant by its cover. The pizza served at this location is mouth-wateringly fabulous, as they create each pie with ingredients so fresh, you’d swear they plucked the tomatoes from a vineyard in Sicily.

Al Forno is another place in Providence with amazing pizza. The restaurants main feature is a grilled pizza with eggplant, and they’ve used it to keep a steady stream of customers coming back for more and more. If you’re going to check it out, be ready to wait a while though – the restaurant is famous for its no-reservation policy. These are definitely some of the favorite joints for people who relocate to “The Divine City.”
